Fiddler Talos Bluetooth 5.0 tube amplifiers are designed to the highest standards. Quality components are sourced directly from the manufacturer to ensure the delivery of full tone purity at a reasonable cost. This amplifier creates a bold, rich, and crisp performance while displaying an extraordinary level of fine detail finesse. Bass delivery is surprisingly strong with warm and mellow mid frequencies highlighting subtle voice notes which are further complimented by crisp and clear high frequencies. When paired with the Fiddler LP-42 Bookshelf speakers, one can truly appreciate the warmth and depth of your analogue music, transforming any room into a live sound environment.
The low end noise generated by this amp when the volume potentiometer is turned off, is almost inaudible, approximately 0.5 to 1 millivolt. Once the volume potentiometer is switched on, any noise detected would likely be related to your signal line or source device. The Talos makes use of a 5U4G 290V tube rectifier, dual 6H8c Russian pre-amp tubes and dual PSVANE EL34 power tubes. The amp makes use of CLC inductance filtering and pushes out 10W in Ultra Linear mode or approximately 8W when in Triode connection mode. The EL34 is easily able to drive high end bookshelf or floor standing speakers with sensitivity of 100W and above 88DB.
This amplifier delivers soft and smooth mid frequency vocals, crisp and clear high
frequencies with powerful punchy bass. The sound imaging is sharp and overall sound stage performance is wide and deep with exceptional clarity. It is advisable to note that all tube amplifiers require a run in period. The Fiddler Talos will provide optimum sound after 100 hours. The current specification allows for 24 hour continuous usage but it is recommended that the amplifier be operated at intervals of 1-5 hours initially for best results.
